Polish Hardneck is an intense and very spicy garlic. This one did extremely well for us this year, producing larger bulbs than our other porcelain varieties. This is a porcelain variety so the paper is creamy white with shades of brown and purple. The cloves are medium to large size in each bulb, with 4-6 cloves per bulb. Porcelain varieties are hardy and do well on the west coast.
Medium size bulbs are 1.75"-2"; 10-14 bulbs/lb.
Large size bulbs are 2"-2.5"; 6-10 bulbs/lb. - this is the ideal size for planting
Extra Large size bulbs are 2.5"-3.5"; 4-6 bulbs/lb.
